She has already served five months and will finish her sentence at drug rehab.

Over the past two years, dozens at the newspaper have been laid off. Daily News circulation is down .The company remains more than $1 billion in debt. McClatchy could join Morris in bankruptcy court.

Sherry Johnston was sentenced Friday in Palmer, about 45 miles northeast of Anchorage. The Anchorage Daily News reports that Sherry Johnston will serve her sentence at Alaska's only female prison.
